Hiking

Hiking trails on cobbled paths and stairs of centuries past, over arched stone bridges of rare architecture, along the larger and deeper canyons, with rare flora and fauna, along with our experienced crew, we will meet our myths and the history of the region while enjoying the unique beauty of Epirus’ nature.

Route: Vikos Gorge
Duration: 6-7 hours (transfer required for the return)
  Difficulty level:

From Monodendri and the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi, built in the 15th century on a natural balcony, on the edge of the Vikos ravine, we will begin our hike along the world's deepest ravine heading to the village of Vikos over the springs of the river Voidomatis. In the core of the Vikos-Aoos National Park, a great variety of rare flora and fauna finds its safe haven.

Route: Drakolimni Gamila

  Duration: 8-9 hours
  Difficulty level:

The picturesque Papigo with the stone houses will become the starting point of our hike. The springs we meet on the steep but well-marked path of the busiest route will take away our thirst until we reach Astrakas refuge. We continue to Drakolimni with the tritones, at the top of Tymfi at an altitude of 2070 meters overlooking the Aoos ravine and the second highest mountain in Greece, Smolikas. After 8-9 hours we will return to Papigo and the "swimmers", natural water slides, for rest and swimming.

Route: Vradeto-Beloe
  Duration: 4 hours with return
  Difficulty level:

The path we follow is the oldest 'stairway' in the area and dates back to the 13th century, with a very good cobbled path and joins Kapesovo with Bradetto. We will continue up to Belloni, a natural balcony at the top of the ravine where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the entire Vikos ravine.

Route: Voidomatis Canyon
  Duration: 2 hours
  Difficulty level: easy path

Starting at the Aristi Bridge we walk along the Voidomatis River, on a foot-and-eye-friendly path. It is a suitable journey for the whole family which takes about an hour to reach the monastery of Agioi Anargyroi. We continue up to the stone bridge of Kleidonia for some rest and a little snack in the plane tree park next to the river.

Route: Konitsa - Stomio
  Duration: 4 hours
  Difficulty level:

Our starting point is the stone bridge of Konitsa and after walking along the banks of the Aoos river we continue the uphill path under the slopes of Gamila. We reach the sacred monastery of Stomio built on a balcony overlooking Trapezitsa and the Aoos Gorge. Return from the same path.
