Mountain Cycling in Tzoumerka
Since our childhood the bike was our favorite toy. The mountain bike trails in Tzoumerka are suitable for all those who have kept their love for it and never felt more fatigue than joy. The changes in the landscape and in the terrain, the mood for playing and exploring, the acquaintance with our villages in another way and from another route are included in the cyclist's particular quests.
For both your short and family rides, as well as for more sporty and demanding routes, Via Natura, besides the experienced and always friendly escort, can provide you with rental bikes and helmets depending on the route you choose.

Windhole - Agnanta - Waterfall - Plaka
Meeting with our guide at the Anemotrypa cave, outside the village of Pramanta. Acquaintance with our companion but mainly with our bikes. The proper settings and we start for the first downhill part to the country road. After about 1 km we enter the forest road that leads us through streams, forests and the mahalades of the village, above the village of Agnanta.
From here, we have the option to go down to the village and then, by a downhill forest road, to reach the Plaka Bridge, our base. Total of this route 19km and altitude 800m – 850m – 240m.
But for those who want to continue, a bit of pedaling on the uphill part in the pine forest, until we start downhill again with a view now of Tzoumerka, the imposing peak of Katafidi and the village of Katarraktis. We continue like this and reach Plaka, our base, for a snack and tsipouraki.
Faneromeni - Platanoussa - Plaka route
We meet at the base of Via natura on the bridge of Plaka and after about 40 minutes drive in our van we reach the village of Faneromeni. The view is breathtaking even when driving by car. Through the village we ride our bikes up an alpine landscape, crossing the ridge of Xirovouni for a while and on its west side, heading north while overlooking the artificial lake of Purnari and the Arachthos valley, we reach Platanoussa. We take a break for a small snack and cold water in the square and then we take the easy way up to the Plaka Bridge for a slow recovery. A warm shower in our facilities along with lots of tsipouro will compensate for any fatigue you may feel…
